Lula Joe Harris passed away on Friday September 1, 2023.  She was born on July 7, 1943 to the late Nora and Lula Harris.  

Her funeral service was held on Saturday September 9, 2023 at 2:30 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Reverend Randy James in charge.  Burial was in the Johnson Chapel CME Church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

She was a life long and faithful member of Johnson Chapel CME Church.  

She attended Allen White School and enjoyed reading the Bible, cooking, gardening, shopping and solving crossword puzzles.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter,Brenda Lee Harris; siblings, James Thomas, Lenora, Lois, Percy and Ed Harris.  

She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Larry (Stephanie) and Otis Harris, Linda (Randy) James; two grand children and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie Hurd and martha Harris; one brother, Nolan (Melany) Harris; many other relatives and friends that will miss her.
