Marcus Rochelle Cheairs
February 2, 1980 ~ October 5, 2022 (age 42)
Marcus Rochelle Cheairs was born on February 2, 1980, in Bolivar, TN.
He departed his life Wednesday at Bolivar Community Hospital on October 5, 2022. He was born to Etta Lee Anderson and the late James Cheairs, Sr.
His funeral service was held on Saturday October 15, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Rivers of Life International Ministries with Pastor James Morgan in charge. Burial was in the Grand Junction City Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He received Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Ernest Hughes at Hopewell M.B. Church in Grand Junction, TN. Marcus lead songs while singing in the youth choir. Later, his musical talent inspired him and some friends to start a rap group called “Bonified Macs”. He was always the life of the party, never met a stranger, knew how to make everyone feel apart of and welcome. For the last year Marcus has been an active member of New Abundant Faith Ministries where he’s been “Timothy - In-Training”. He worked well with the leadership team from the parking lot to the pulpit. He would arrive on Sundays at eight o’clock, staying until one o’clock, learning how to serve God’s people. Marcus had a heart for people. Marcus could forgive and love you even when he didn’t do you no wrong.
Marcus attended Hardeman County Schools and graduated from Middleton High School class of 1998. After school he went straight into the workforce. He was employed by EP Minerals formerly known as Maltan Company for seventeen years. He was currently employed by Chemring formerly known as Kilgore in Toone, TN. He was the founder and CEO of Bone Hard Clothing Line, INC.
Marcus was preceded in death by his grandmother who help raised him, Mother Elise Jones Mckinnie alone with many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Marcus leaves to cherish his memories: his loving parents: Etta (Lee) Anderson: Three children: Markiya Cheairs, Marquaveon Cheairs (Moscow, TN), and Marcus Cheairs Jr. (Lexington Tn): Three Brothers, James Cheairs (Jackson, TN), Tavaras Jones & Montrez Jones (Grand Junction, TN): One Sister, Aspen (Terrence) Whitaker (Memphis Tn). He leaves his paternal grandmother, Lila Buntyn (Bolivar, TN): One very special aunt who was like a mother, Pastor Rita Jones. He leaves a fiancé, Regina Kirkwood (Toone, TN): five nieces, four nephews, host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends to remember his love and share his memories..
