Margaret (Jarrett) Brown

April 12, 1945 ~ June 30, 2022 (age 77)

Mrs. Margaret Brown 2nd child of eleven children born to the late Mr. Robert “Dick” and Mrs. Maggie Woods Jarrett on April 12th, 1945.

Her funeral service was on Saturday July 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Mt. Salem MB Church with Pastor Algie Jarrett in charge.  Burial was in the Mt. Calvary church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service. 

She was raised in Hardeman County, TN. She attended Union Spring School in Whiteville, TN.

Margaret made her transition from this earthly realm on June 30th, 2022.

Being a young adult, Margaret acknowledged Christ as her Savior and united with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of her brother, Pastor Algie Jarrett. She remained a faithful member until her demise.

Margaret was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Gus Brown. Margaret and Gus shared 38 years of marriage before his death on October 29th, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mattie Polk; one brother, Robert Jarrett. Margaret loved to cook, sing, take care of others, make people laugh, and complete her yard work duties. She was a family oriented person and was always on the road.

Margaret was employed at Tannery Factory in Bolivar, TN for over 20 years before retiring.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memories: seven children; Jewel (Vanessa) Jarrett of Selmer, TN, Randy (Cynthia) Jarrett of Bolivar, TN, Mary (Jimmy) Campbell of Bolivar, TN, Dennis (Angela) Jarrett of Jackson, TN, Louise (Tony) Price of Bolivar, TN, Grant (Melesia) Brown of Lebanon, TN, and Sherry Jean Brown of Bolivar, TN: five brothers; Mr. Horace (Myrtle) Jarrett, Rev. Algie (Tommie Lou) Jarrett, Mr. Howard Jarrett, Mr. James (Carla) Jarrett, Mr. Burl (Jacquelyn) Jarrett: three sisters; Mrs. Charlene (Nelson) Hurd, Ms. Betty Golden, and Ms. Earnestine McNeal: eighteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
