Mattie Mae Macon

Mother Mattie Mae Macon was born February 8, 1940 to the late Jack and Mary Mitchell in Toone, TN.

She transitioned from this life into eternity on July 8, 2026 at Jackson General Hospital.

Mother Macon accepted Christ at an early age and joined Clover Chapel Baptist Church. She has remained faithful under the leadership of Pastor George Beaugard. Mother Macon loved cooking and canning.

Her joy was preparing a feast and watching her family enjoy her cooking. Mother Macon was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Thomas Macon and to this union, five children was born. the children and grandchildren was one of her greatest joys in life. In addition to her parents and husband, Mother Macon was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Macon along with three brothers and two sisters. Mother Macon leaves to cherish her memories: four children, Thomas (Emilita) Macon, Hazel (Curley) Harris, Michael (Velicia) Macon, and Deborah Macon; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two special friends, her bestie Bernice Finley and Tommie Lue Jestice. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
