Maurice Christopher Woods, known affectionately as “Moe”, passed away on September 14, 2024, in Huntington, TN at the age of 39.

His funeral service was held on Saturday October 19, 2024 at 2:30 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel @ Dixie Funeral Home with Betty Johnson Green in charge.  Burial was in the Mays Hill Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Born in Fayette County on November 26, 1984, Moe grew into a free-spirited and outspoken individual, cherished for his role as a loving father. Moe spent his days indulging in his favorite hobbies: fishing and barbecuing and his side jobs of working on cars with the startup of his business landscaping (Moe for Less).

These simple pleasures brought him immense joy and offered cherished moments with friends and family. Moe was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Woods & Sally Bunder, and a nephew, Tramon Bonner.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Woods Mattison (Donald); sisters, Nakeitha Bonner (Willie) and Kashandra Woods both of Lexington, TN; two brothers, Travis Cotton and Octavis Crout (Amanda) both of Lexington TN. His life was shared with his five loving children Jazmine (Marie), Andrice (Angelica), Maraelee, Kinsleigh Freeman, and Niko Woods (Racheal) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
