Mersheila Cortina (Hudson) Ayers

Mersheila Cortina Hudson-Ayers passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2024 in Nashville.  She was born on August 14, 1970 to the late Dorothy Ann Hudson and Jimmy Peters. 

Her funeral service was held on Saturday December 21, 2024 at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Bowden in charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home(www.dixiefuneralhome.com) in charge of the professional service.

She attended school in Bolivar, Fairfield, CA and Torrejon, Spain.  She received a receptionist diploma from Turner Job Corp Center (Albany, GA) and Northwest Mississippi Community College.

In 2015 she retired from nursing (LPN) due to ill health and began full time her hobby of genealogy. She enjoyed spending time with family, her grandchildren and traveling.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Mersheila Christina Hudson, Darell Edward Ayers and Tridarell Devonte Ayers; one brother, Iverous Hudson; two sisters, Kristen and Keundra Peters; ten grandchildren; three aunts and two uncles and many other relatives and friends that will miss her.
