Odie Lee Cheshier

April 24, 1932 ~ January 23, 2022 (age 89)

Mother Odie Lee Cheshier was born on April 24, 1932 in Toone TN to the late Shirley and Ollie Bell Hudson. She completed her earthly journey on January 23, 2022.

Her funeral service was held on Sunday January 30, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Pastor Lawrence Pirtle in charge.  Burial was in the Hillfield MB Church Cemetery-Toone, Tn and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined the Hillfield Missionary Baptist Church in 1946. Mother Odie served faithfully as an usher and Sunday school teacher. She was also on the church Mother Board. She loved sewing and anything that had to do with preparing food. She had a kind and loving spirit. She was definitely a role model and admired by all that knew her.

Mother Odie was united in Holy Matrimony on September 12, 1948 to Rance Cheshier. They were married sixty four years. To this union, seven children were born: Oscar, Walter, Charles, Jerry, Ollie Faye, Melvin and Randall. Rance (her husband) and Walter (one of her sons) preceded her in death.

Mother Odie is survived by her sons: Oscar (Addrene) of Toone, TN, Charles of Fort Washington, MD, Jerry (Ruth) of Alexandria, VA, Melvin (Steffanie) of Clinton, MD, Randall (Mariah) of Florence, KY: one daughter; Ollie Faye (Melvin) of Denver, CO: daughter-in-law; Wanda Cheshier of Ft. Washington, MD: sister; Mary Ann Love of Cleveland, OH: sister-in-law; Hattie Hudson of Toone, TN: Co-sister-in-law; Alice Cheshier and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
