Oscar T Prewitt passed away on Wednesday October 6, 2021 in Southfield, MI. He was born on December 1, 1949 in Hardeman County to Gertrude and the late Leo Prewitt, Sr.
His graveside service was held on Sunday October 17, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Zion Cemetery-Saulsbury with Reverend Martin Hardaway in charge.
Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He confessed a hope in Jesus Chrit at a young age and joined Bowden Hill CME Church.
He attended the Hardeman County public schools and graduated in 1968.
He relocated to Detriot, MI and began work with Ford Motor comany where he retired after thirty-seven years of service.
He enjoyed his family, walking and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stanley Prewitt.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; eight siblings, Rosie (Ezell Watkins), JC Prewitt, Sr., Alice Prewitt, Mary (James) Taylor, Helen Prewitt, James (Mae) Prewitt, Pauline Prewitt, Leo (Paula) Prewitt, Jr., Howard (Louise) Prewitt; and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
