Administrative Assistant Donald Alexander McTizic, 59, passed away on Sunday August 3, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1965 to the late Junious McTizic and Azie Lee Williams McTizic. His funeral service was held on Sunday August 10, 2025 at 3:30 pm at Jones Chapel MBC with Bishop Linwood Dillard, Jr. in charge. Burial was in the Zion Temple #2 Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He accepted his call into the ministry in 1983 and ordained an Elder in 1990. In 2006 he was appointed pastor of Zion Temple Community Church-Grand Junction where he served for over 19 years.
He was dedicated to the life of ministry and community service.
He was a husband, father, brother, mentor and friend to many. He was a successful entrepreneur establishing Don's Bakery and Don's Cleaning Service. He continued impactful work with Becoming Educated Teen (BET), a youth focused initiative empowering young people through education, mentorship and spiritual guidance.
He was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School, Bethel University and received a Master's Degree from Freed-Hardeman University.
He was employed for six years as a Facility Director with the United States Department of Defense (Fort Campbell, Kentucky) and later as Attendance Supervisor with the Hardeman County Board of Education.
He was a humble and faithful servant as he served as Administrative Assistant and Chairman of the Board of Ordination for the Tennessee Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of prelate, Bishop Linwood Dillard, Jr. He also served as coordinator for the Jurisdictional Holy Convocation during the annual Summit of the Saints.
Preceding his in death were his parents and one daughter, Juniece.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of thirty-four years, Lady Linda McTizic and daughter, Brittany; four sister and four brothers; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
