Pauline Douglas McKinnie

February 4, 1957 ~ May 23, 2026 (age 69)

Her funeral service is scheduled for Sunday May 31, 2026 at Union Springs MB Church.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com will be in charge of the professional service.

REFLECTIONS  To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1  A TIME TO BE BORN: Pauline Douglas was born on February 1, 1955, to the late Henry and Mae Emma Douglas. She was one of the nine children and was born a twin. The State of Tennessee later determined that the twins’ ocials birth date was February 4, 1957.  A TIME

TO EMBRACE: Pauline accepted Christ early and joined Clover Garden Methodist Church. Later she went on and joined Union Springs Bapst Church where she was a faithful member. Pauline also showed her love and dedicaon by serving in the church kitchen for many years, helping prepare meals and support church gatherings. 

A TIME TO BUILD UP: Pauline was a student at East High Elementary and later became a proud graduate of Bolivar Central High School in Bolivar, TN class of 1973. Pauline may have worked many jobs throughout her life, but her true calling was loving and caring for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a second mother to so many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply. Pauline had a way of making everyone feel special through her warm hugs, kind heart, and a contagious smile that could light up any room.   

A TIME TO LOVE: Pauline married the love of her life, William McKinnie, on October 16, 1978, and they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage together. To this union two children were born William (Wayne) & Marcus McKinnie. She also was blessed of being a bonus mother to T’zyriaha McKinnie. One of the ways Pauline showed her love was through her cooking. Her kitchen was more than just a place to prepare meals- it was a place lled with laughter, comfort, and togetherness. She was known for her homemade chicken and dressing, caramel cakes, pecan pies, and meals that brought the enre family together. Her apron represented more than cooking; it represented the love she poured into every meal and every person she cared for.   

A TIME TO DIE: She departed on May 23, 2026, to be with the Lord, who was always rst in her life. She was preceded in death by her father Henry Douglas, mother Mae Emma Douglas, siblings Larry Douglas James Douglas, Earline Douglas, Addie Pearl Price, Cal Picken and Birda Mae Humphrey bonus siblings Sarah Murphy and Othea Douglas.   

A TIME TO REMEMBER: Pauline leaves to cherish her memories: husband William McKinnie of Whiteville, TN; two sons whom she loved dearly William Dewayne McKinnie of Jackson Tn; Marcus (Sakina) McKinnie of Milwaukee WI; bonus daughter T’zyriaha McKinnie of Whiteville, TN; ten grandchildren Kaderious McKinnie, Midarious McKinnie, D’erica McKinnie, Kameron McKinnie, William McKinnie Jr, Kania House, Antoinee Sain, and Antoino Sain all of Jackson, TN; Ja’Tara McKinnie & Melvin Aldrige Jr of Milwaukee, WI one great grandchild Makai Aldrige one brother Willie Douglas of Whiteville, TN; two sisters Irene Douglas of Whiteville, TN; Minnie Allen of Lile Elm, TX Brothers-in-law: Willie Lee  (Louise) McKinnie, Jerry (Fair Ruth) McKinnie ,  Rickie McKinnie, Eddie (Kay) McKinnie & Robert (Bey) Price Sisters-in-law: Tommie Lue McKinnie Dawkins, Faye McKinnie Special Friends: Dora Jean Sharpe, Florence Johnson, Juanita Robertson & Della Jo Perry. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relaves and Pauline was well known and loved throughout Murphy Lane, where she built many lifelong memories and relaonships with family, friends, and neighbors. She will forever be remembered and cherished by the McKinnie family, the Price family, and all who had the blessing of knowing her.
