Percy Brown, 65, passed away on Friday May 17, 2024 at home. He was born on September 6, 1958 in Hickory Valley to the late Charlie Brown, Sr. and Hattie Mae Harris Brown.
His funeral service was held on Saturday May 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Ne Hope MB Church with Pastor Arthur Lee McKinnie in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.
He accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined New Hope Church. He was educated in the Hardeman County public schools.
On April 13, 2014 he married Lillie D. Hines. He was a loving father, husband and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Curtis Brown and a grandchild, Demetrius Jarrett, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, one daughter, Romika (Demetrius, Sr.) Jarrett; three daughters that he raised, Glory and Breyunna Springfield and Shawiliam Bonner; six brothers, John (Terry) Harris, L.T. (Andrea), Charlie Chip (Faye), Jessie (Ulonda), Paul (Felicia), James (Monique) Brown; two sisters, Lisa Walker and Patricia Brown; one grand daughter and six that he helped raise; six aunts and one uncle; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
