Rev. Glen Roger Brown was born on September 12, 1960 in Bolivar, TN.
His funeral service was held on Friday December 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem MB Church with Reverend Dr. Arthur Becton in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com in charge of the professional service.
Rev. Glen was the seventh child to the late Billie and Rosie Brown. Rev. Glen accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethlehem MB Church.
After his completion of high school, he obtained a degree from Tennessee State University where he was honored to be on the Deans List. He later relocated to Chattanooga, TN. While in Chattanooga, he received his calling to minister God’s Holy word.
Rev. Glen worked at Hamilton County Mayor’s Office in Chattanooga as a Senior Probation Officer for over thirty years. He retired September 2021.
After retirement, Rev. Glen moved back to his hometown, in Bolivar, TN and rejoined his home church, Bethlehem MB Church.
On Thursday December 14, 2023, Rev. Glen departed from this life at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Rev. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Rosie Brown; his grandparents, Frank Brown, Monroe Parham, Mary Taylor, and Hattie Bell Jones, and his niece and nephew; Flora Jean Sain and Jeremy Jackson.
Rev. Glen leaves to cherish his loving memories: three brothers and six sisters, Fannie Sain, Annie Brown, Betty Brown, Dianne Simpson, Chuck Brown all of Bolivar, TN, Ricky Brown of Hickory Valley, TN, Nettie Jackson and Dennis Brown both of Jackson, TN, and Mabel (Roosevelt) Eppes of Fayetteville, NC; one aunt, three uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family and friends.
