Robert Dale Jarrett, Jr.
JUNE 4, 1946 ~ OCTOBER 30, 2018 (AGE 72)
Robert Dale Jarrett Jr. third child of eleven children born to the late
Mr. Robert “Dick” and Mrs. Maggie Woods Jarrett on June 6, 1946.
He grew-up in Hardeman County, Tennessee and attended the
public schools of Hardeman County. Robert made his transition
from this earthly realm on October 30, 2018. One son, Robert Dale
III and his wife, Marie Brown Jarrett, preceded him in death.
Being a young adult, Robert acknowledged Christ as his Savior
while residing in Dayton, Ohio and united Christ Memorial M. B.
Church under the leadership of his uncle, Reverend Tommy R.
Woods. He later returned to Tennessee and united Mt. Calvary M.
B. Church under the leadership of his brother, Reverend Algie
Jarrett, and remained until his demise.
Robert was a self-employed Brick Mason, and many of his family
members was provided gainful employment because of him.
Later in life Robert married Flossie Mickens.
He leaves to cherish his memories; eight children whom he loved
dearly: Keith, Melvin, Dorean, Christy, Detria, Desiray, Marc,
and Laqudia; five brother: Mr. Horace (Myrtle) Jarrett, Rev.
Algie (Tommie Lue) Jarrett, Mr. Howard Jarrett, Mr. James
(Carla) Jarrett, and Mr. Burl (Jacquelyn) Jarrett; four sister: Ms.
Margrett Brown, Mrs. Charlene (Nelson) Hurd, Ms. Betty Golden,
and Ms. Earnestine McNeal; a stepmother, Mrs. Dannie Mae
Jarrett; one aunt, Ms. Clara Hurd; one uncle, Mr. Ernest Jarrett; a
host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends that loved him.
