Robert Lee Joy, 74, departed this life on April 5, 2021 in Jackson.
His funeral service was held on Saturday April 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest Polk in charge.  Burial was in the New Bethel Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home http://www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He worked diligently for over 20 years as a mechanic for the Hardeman County School District. 
Robert had an extreme love for muscle cars, NASCAR and guitars. He had a special way of filling a room with absolute laughter and will be truly missed. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ester Johnson , a mom that raised and cared for him as his own, Robert Johnson and his sister, Cleaster Joy, his brother; Charlie Ray, as well as the mother to six children, Robert, Tony, Steaven, Sedric, Cleaster and Tavares. 

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, six children,  Robert, Tony, Steaven, Sedric, Cleaster and Tavares;  siblings, O.B. Joy Jesse Johnson, Sheryl Johnson, Helen Johnson and Dorothy G. Patton. he was blessed to have 16 grand-kids and even more blessed to have 7 great grand-kids, that will miss him dearly.
