Rosie Mae (Hunt) Lambert
June 9, 1947 ~ November 14, 2025 (age 78)
Rosie Mae Hunt Lambert transitioned from time to eternity on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her home in Grand Junction, Tennessee after a bout of cancer. She was born to the late Tyris Lee Hunt and Ella Mae Hunt on June 9, 1947 of Saulsbury, TN.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Marshall Lambert. Two children preceded her in death, Allie Mae Hunt and Russell Lee Hunt. Rosie professed Christ at an early age and was led by the Holy Spirt to become a faithful member of Saint Paul Skipper Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She attended public schools.
Rose, as most called her, was an outspoken person. You always knew where you stood with her. Upon receiving unfavorable news from her doctors, she would often say, “You ain’t talkin’ about nothin’ – God’s got this!” She enjoyed having family over for cookouts, and she enjoyed cooking, especially on Sundays and for the holidays.
She leaves to cherish her memories four children: Tyris Hunt of Grand Junction, TN; James (Mayme) Hunt of Grand Junction, TN; Woody Lambert of Memphis, TN; Virgie Lambert of Nashville, TN; One brother, Woodly (Beatrice) Hunt of Memphis, TN, and one sister, Rosie Lee (Folgers) McKinney of Grand Junction, TN and a host of grand-children, great grand- children, nieces, and nephews that will forever remember her.
