Roy Lee Murphy
March 28, 1962 ~ October 8, 2025 (age 63)
Roy Lee Murphy was born on March 28, 1962 in Hardeman County to the late Fannie Mae Polk-Murphy and the late Jerry Lee MurphySr. He was the sixth child of twelve children.
His funeral service was held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Dixie Funeral Home in Bolivar Tn. Rev. Eddie Walton was in charge. Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He accepted Christ at an early age. He joined Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Later. he became a member of Mays Hill MB Church. Roy was employed at Hooper Sawmill in Toone, TN until his health failed and he could no longer work. He met Mary Ann Pirtle and he admired her and fell deeply in love with. She cared for him and loved him just as much. He departed this life on October 8, 2025 at Pine Meadows Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar, TN. Roy Lee leaves to cherish his precious memories 3 sons; Larry Lee Murphy, Dontrevious Murphy and Elliot D. Pirtle, 1 daughter; Shalanda (Andre) Williams,7 grandchildren; Aaliya Pirtle, Hunter Pirtle, Tyquan Pirtle, Serenity Pirtle, CK Murphy, Ledarian Murphy and Quan Murphy, 2 sisters; Henrietta Walton and Jerlene Murphy, 2 brothers; Jerry (Kawanda) Murphy and Lewis Polk, 1 aunt; Vernell Polk and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives that will miss him dearly.
