Sabrina Merriweather
May 15, 1978 ~ February 14, 2026 (age 47)
Sabrina Charell Merriweather was born to Robert and Sadie Merriweather on May 15, 1978, at Millington Navy Base just outside of Memphis, Tennessee. She passed away on Saturday February 14, 2026 in Nashville.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday February 28, 2026 at Antioch MB church at 12:00 noon with Reverend Bethel Harris, Jr. in charge. Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Though born near Memphis, her heart was always rooted in Whiteville, Tennessee where she was raised by her loving grandmother, Beatrice Merriweather in the hometown that helped shape the woman she would become.
She later made her home in Jackson, Tennessee, where she continued to build a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Sabrina received her early education at Whiteville Elementary School and continued on to Bolivar Junior High and Bolivar Central High School. A lifelong learner with quite a determination, she earned her associate's degree from Jackson State Community College, followed by her bachelor's degree from Union University and master's degree from Argosy University. Never one to stop growing, she later attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology, where she proudly eamed her nursing degree and fulfilled a calling to care for others ina deeper and more hands-on way.
Sabrina grew up at Antioch Baptist Church, where her faith in God became the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord deeply and leaned on Him through every season. One of her favorite scriptures was 2 Timothy 1:7: "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." This verse was more than words to Sabrina; it was a way of life.
She walked in strength, loved with sincerity, and carried herself with grace and self-control. Even in difficult times, she embodied the courage and resilience that scripture speaks of. Sabrina worked faithfully as a property manager, balancing her professional responsibilities while also graduating from nursing school and serving as a foster parent. Her life was a reflection of compassion in action. She didn't just speak about helping other, she lived it daily. Sabrina was known as a simple yet remarkable woman whose greatest joy came from loving and helping those around her. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and making meaningful memories, but nothing brought her more happiness than her beloved son, Malik. He was the center of her world, her pride, and her greatest joy. Sabrina's legacy is one of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love.
