Sandra Mckinnie Manley, 76, passed away on Saturday October 19, 2024. She was born in Bolivar on December 18, 1947 to the late Richard and Elmarine Wilkes Mckinnie.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday October 26, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Bethlehem MB Church with Pastor Dr. Arthur L. Becton in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
She confessed a faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Bethlehem MBC where her membership remained.
She enjoyed reading, writing and spending time with family.
She attended Hardeman County public schools and graduated with honors from high school at Allen-White School. She was offered a scholarship to college but elected not to accept in order to help her parents financially by going to work at Hardeman Garment factory. She later relocated to Detroit, MI and worked thirty years with Ford Motor Company until she retired on August 12, 1998.
She returned to Jackson, TN where she remained until her health failed.
Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings, Virley Perry, Claude Wilkes, Gertdine Hussey, Richard, Jr. Arion, Byron, and Denise McKinnie.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Kirsten Williams; four grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Golden and Doris (Jackie) Littleton; one brother Johnny (Holly) Yancy; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
