Scottie L. Warren was born February 18, 1967 to his parents, the late Mildred and Willie Warren of Grand Junction TN. Scottie departed this life on June 13, 2020 at home in Memphis TN. Scottie had been ill for the past 3 years.

His Graveside service was held on Saturday June 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Hopewell MB Church Cemetery with Pastor Doctor Roger Pearson in charge and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Scottie received his education in Hardeman County and graduated from Middleton High School in Middleton TN. Scottie accepted Christ in his life at an early age and joined Hopewell MBC. He later married and moved to Byhalia, Mississippi with wife Gwendolyn (Henderson) Warren.

Scottie was a former employee at Carrier Corporation. in Collierville, TN. He worked as a welder and later started having health issues and became disabled.

Scottie and Gwendolyn were joined in matrimony March 16, 1996 and to this union he had two daughters. Scottie also had another daughter prior to his marriage to Gwendolyn. Scottie was a loving father to his daughters and grand-children. His only regret was that he was unable to meet his youngest three grandchildren in person due to his health.

As his health began to decline, Scottie relocated to Memphis, TN to be closer to his doctors. Scottie’s sister Hattie, his brother in law Calvin, and his oldest brother Alex devoted their time to support his medical needs. On Scottie’s last day, he was overwhelmed with love and adoration from his entire family. He was shown compassion and affection until he was called home.

Scottie was preceded in death by his parents Mildred (Anderson) Warren and Willie Warren, one grand-son Jonathan Morrow Jr., two sisters, Angie Kaye Warren, and Elizabeth Higgs-Rogers.

Scottie leaves a loving family to cherish his memories. His wife Gwendolyn (Henderson) Warren; three daughters, Quentella (Karlik) Knox of Arlington, TX, Ashanti (Johnathan) Morrow of Bolivar, TN, and Quentaisha Warren (Xavier M. Travis) of Arlington, TX; five sisters and four brother, Hattie (Calvin) Owens, Alex Warren, and Eric Warren all of Memphis, TN, Helen Golden and Queen Jenkins of Bolivar, TN, Larry Warren of Moscow, TN, Doris Warren, Gail (Rickey Sr) Scott, and William Keith Warren all of Grand Junction TN; a mother-in-law Clara Mae Henderson of Chicago, Il; four granddaughters, Katlyn Knox, Karleigh Knox, Kayleigh Knox of Arlington, Texas, Jada Morrow of Bolivar,TN, one grand-son Quinton X. Travis of ArlingtonTexas, and three god-sons, Antonius Laron Douglas of Bolivar,TN, Samuel Giles of Grand Prairie, TX, Tommy Franklin of Collierville, TN, and one God-daughter, Trinity Roberson of Grand Prairie, TX. He also leaves a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him very dearly.
