Shameka Wellington, 36, of Jackson passed away on Tuesday September 3, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1988 to Betty Jean Wellington and Sammie Green, Sr. 

Her memorial service was held on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 2:30 pm @ the Jerome Boyd Chapel @ Dixie Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Kearney in charge.

She attended the Hardeman County public schools and was a member of Bethlehem MB Church until she could no longer attend. She enjoyed being with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Richard and Henry Lee Green.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother and one son, Jarquez Wellington, four sisters, Geraldine, Anette, Linda Faye and Bessie Green; four brothers, Terrell Wellington, Steve Green, Sammie, Jr. and Louis Green; many other family and friends that will miss her.
