Shamika Montresse’ Kirk was born in Jackson, TN on July 2, 1993, to Eric Benard Kirk and Tammie Lavone Wynn-Kirk.

Her funeral service was held on Sunday October 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Forrest Hill Christ of Christ with Minister Will Luster in charge.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Selmer and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

She is the eldest of two children.

Shamika accepted Christ at an early age at Forrest Hill Church of Christ.

She graduated from Adamsville High School in May of 2011.

She attended college at Austin Peay State University. At the time of her death, she was employed at Caterpillar in Corinth, MS.

Shamika was preceded in death by her grandfathers, William Gary Wynn and RC Kirk, and her grandmother, Maeceil Kirk, as well as both of her great grandmothers: Loraine Borner and Ruby Pearl Ratcliff and both her great grandfathers: Sam Borner and William Elmer Wynn and her favorite aunt, Loretta Ann Wynn.

Shamika leaves to cherish her memory: her father, Eric Kirk; her mother, Tammie Wynn -Kirk; her only child, Aubrey Isabella Grundy all from Selmer, TN; two brothers, Eric Deonta (Maddie) Kirk from Franklin, Kentucky, and Tarrance Watson of Corinth, MS; one nephew, Hendrix Allen Kirk ; her maternal grandmother, Dorthey Ann Wynn and her special friend, Khiran Josey whom she loved dearly. Shamika had a host of cousins too many to name, but, near and dear to her heart was XAdrain Borner. The family would love to express special thanks to everyone who called, texted and visited with the family during this time.
