Shernikia Shantez Dubose

On January 13, 1986, God blessed Carolyn Dubose and Previs (Perry) Woods with a baby girl that they named Shernika Shantez Dubose, better known as “Tweety Bird”. She graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 2005.

Her funeral service was held on Sunday October 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com with Reverend Jerry Crisp in charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery.

Being a loving, caring mother to her two children is what she enjoyed most. She was the life of all family functions. Her faith in God, love for family and friends was very important to her. She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed.

Tweety Bird gained her wings on October 12, 2021. Preceding her in death was her father: Previs (Perry) Woods; maternal grandmother: Mary Joann Dubose; two aunts: Mary Louise and Patricia Jean Dubose; one uncle: George (9-8) Woods.

Loved ones left to cherish her memories: her protective son, Datavion Dubose: her baby girl, Sherlakay Dubose: Her loving and devoted mother, Carolyn Dubose: her dedicated sister, Tenikia Dubose of Bolivar, TN: four brothers, Cord Brown and Michael Blakemore of Bolivar, TN, Jayden and Malik Williams of Corinth, MS: a loving grandmother, Cleaster Woods of Bolivar, TN: one grand-son, Jordan Dubose: eight aunts, Earnestine (Tony) Macon, Janie Woods, Elaine Woods, Sandra Woods, Debra Woods, Dorothy Rivers, Sue Brown, and Catherine Rivers: three uncles, James (Cathy) Woods, Derrick Dubose, and Robert Dubose: two special cousins, Lakita and Tykia Dubose: two people whom she held dear to her heart, Sharon Rivers whom was always a phone call away and Rayford Turner whom stuck by her side. Tweety Bird’s fun, outgoing, and loving spirit will be missed by a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
