Steven Lynn McClellan was born October 16, 1964 to the late Thomas Edward and Clara Nell McClellan. Surrounded by loved ones, Steven peacefully departed this life, the night of August 21, 2024 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. 

His funeral service was held on Sunday August 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel @ DFH with Pastor Gene  Bowden in charge.  Burial was in the Oak Hill MB church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Steven professed a hope in Christ at an early age and he was a faithful member, until his health failed. 

He was 1982 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and also a graduate of Jackson State, class of 1989.

Steven was an employee of Western Mental Health Institute for over 20 years, as a lead technician until his health declinded. Afterwhich, he developed a love for cratfing, such as making tee shirts and tumblers. 

Steven leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Clara Nell McClellan Rivers, three sisters: Nina Mae McClellan, Evangelist Lynda (Robert) Shivers, and Deloris Johnson; two brothers: Thomas Earl (Sonya) McClellan and David (Marvita) Robinson and a host of very special nieces and nephews that he truely loved beyond measure. Also, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. 

Steven was proceeded in death by his father, Thomas Edward McClellan and his sister, Yolanda McClellan.
