Tanika Humphrey

August 23, 1976 ~ January 26, 2026 (age 49)

Tanika (Nika) Garrett Humphrey passed away on Monday January 26, 2026. She was born on August 23, 1976 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert Leon Garrett and Thelma Bills 
Anderson.  Her funeral service was held on Sunday February 8, 2026 at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Reverend Melvin Rivers in charge.  Burial was in the Union Springs Church Cemetery.

Nika professed a faith in Jesus Christ at a young age and was baptized at New Bethel COGIC.  She was educated in the Dayton and Hardeman County public schools. 

On September 24, 2004 she married Anthony Humphrey.  She found joy in simple meaningful pleasures.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Marquiz Morrow, her brother Donald Lee Garrett, Sr.. and her grandparents, Mamie Kelly Bills and Richard Bills.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband and mother; three daughters, Ashanti (Jonathan) Morrow, Jasmine Humphrey and Jatia Garrett; two sons, Jarvis and Kametrious Humphrey; one brother, Ronald Lee Garrett; two sisters, Robinette Anderson and Sharron Harris; nine grandchildren and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
