Thomas Ray Bolden passed away on Saturday September 2, 2023.  He was born on May 8, 1936 to the late Willie Lee and Ruby Bolden.  

His funeral service was held on Saturday September 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com with

Reverend Shon Beasley in charge.  Burial was in the Green Grove Church Cemetery.

He confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Green Grove MB Church.  

He was educated in the Hardeman County public schools.  He served in the United States Army from 1955-1958 when he was honorably discharged.  

He was employed with Western Mental Health Institute for over thirty years when he retired. He enjoyed farming and was a member of the Hardeman County Soil Conservation committee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives Linda and Shirley; daughter (Carolyn), son (Burgess); two brothers, Willie, Jr. and Charles Bolden; two sisters, Victoria Gatlin and Edna Dubose.  

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Terrence (Machell), Anthony and Torris (Nikki) Bolden; three sisters, Earnestine Gatlin, Lucille Perry and Evelyn Brown; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
