Thomas Ray Poplar

Thomas Ray Poplar, age 60, was born to the late Will T. Poplar, Sr. and Florine Poplar.

Thomas attended school in Ashland, MS.

He accepted Christ and joined Mt. Bethel MB Church.

As a young man, he took up loud and fast cars until his health started to fail him.

Along with his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers, Fletcher Gilliam and Will T. Poplar, Jr.

Thomas is survived by; his lovely wife, Lillie Poplar; three step-sons, MaeKee White of Michigan City, MS, Eric White of Counce, TN, and Antonio Hampton of Selmer, TN; one step-daughter, Shanail (Terry) Smith of Ashland, MS; three brothers, Jasper Gilliam of Kansas City, MO, William (Dorothy) Poplar of Jackson, TN, and Early Hugh (Alma) Poplar of Michigan City, MS; two sisters, Willie Voe (William) Crum of Tiplerville, MS and Louise (Jessie) Rivers of Michigan City, MS; one aunt, Victoria (Rayford) Crum of Michigan City, MS, thirteen grandchildren, six sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
