Tommie Cross
December 19, 1975 ~ July 30, 2025
49 Years Old
The Lord called Tommie Ray Cross, Jr., AKA “Boo Boo” home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 after a lengthy illness. He was home with his daughter & surrounded by his family and loved ones, whom he loved dearly.
His funeral service was held on Saturday August 2, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Jermaine Shaw in charge. Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Tommie was the seventh child born to the late Tommie Ray Cross, Sr. and Annie B. Sain Cross. He had two brothers Gabe Cross and Torrey Cross; one nephew, Nicholas Cross; his maternal grandparents, Melvin Sain, Sr. and Emma Louise Murphy; paternal grandparents, Noble Lee Cross, Sr. and Doretha Woods Cross, all preceded him in death.
Tommie (Boo Boo) accepted Christ at an early age and joined Union Springs MB Church and later joined Antioch MB Church where his membership remained until his transitioning.
Tommie attended Hardeman County Schools. He graduated with the class of 1994 from Bolivar Central High School. After high school, he attended and graduated from Tennessee Technology center of Whiteville with certification in HVAC. He had a long devoted work history at CCA, Arlington Dev. Center, I.C.E., Sequentia, Delta Faucet & Lucerne, where he established many friends & coworkers.
Tommie was loved & admired by many people. He had an outstanding personality, remarkable sense of humor, a very humble & well mannered spirit. To know him was to love him.
Tommie leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted, beautiful and loyal daughter, Ta’Riya Raijon Cross; a cousin he called his special daughter, Tamaya Turner; a special friend, Derlissa Ivory; his loving mother, Annie B. Cross; bonus mother, Debra Crowder; bonus sister, Precious Lockridge; one brother, Christopher Cross; four sisters, Regenia (Jeff Jones) Cross, Joyce Cross, Vickey (Chris) Trawick, Fontella (Deitrick) Mason, Sr., all of Bolivar, TN; one niece, Jefonda Cross of Tucson, Arizona and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
