Minister Vernice Beasley was born in Somerville, TN on January 16, 1948 to the late Booker and Susie Puryear. She attended Fayette and Hardeman County Schools and graduated from Allen White High School in Whiteville, TN.

Minister Vernice was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Mack Beasley whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Alma Patterson.

Minister Vernice moved to Milwaukee, WI where resided for twenty-five years. During her time there, she became an ordained minister @ Greater New Birth Church. She later relocated back to Somerville and renewed her membership at Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor George Hester, where she re-mained until her death.
Minister Vernice leaves to cherish her memories: one brother, Hal D. (Cynthia) Puryear: three special cousins whom she loved dearly; Rosie Puryear Loyde, Cheryl Green, and James A. Green, Jr. and a host of cousins and friends whom she loved until her death.
