Virginia Lee Easley Obituary
Virginia Easley
November 6, 1947 ~ July 21, 2026 (age 78)
Virginia Lee Easley was born on November 6, 1947, to the late John Marshall Easley and Addie Lee Easley.
She peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on July 21, 2026, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tennessee.
Virginia received her education through the Montgomery High School system before answering a lifelong calling to care for others. She earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant and faithfully served patients at Methodist Hospital in Lexington, Tennessee, Lexington Methodist Home Care, Lexington, and Methodist Hospital of Jackson.
She dedicated many years to the healthcare profession, providing compassionate care until her retirement following a kidney transplant. Before beginning her healthcare career, Virginia worked at The Flower Basket, a local florist, where her creativity and warm personality brightened the lives of those she served.
At an early age, Virginia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Saint Paul Baptist Church. There, she faithfully served as a member of the choir and the Kitchen Committee. Her love for God and commitment to her church family remained steadfast until declining health prevented her from actively serving. Virginia will be remembered for her generous spirit, unwavering kindness, and servant's heart. She found genuine joy in caring for others and was never happier than when she was giving of herself. An accomplished baker, she became well known for her award-winning sour cream pound cake, earning numerous blue ribbons for a recipe that became a treasured favorite among family, friends, and the community. Whether through a warm meal, a thoughtful gesture, or words of encouragement, Virginia had a remarkable way of making everyone feel loved and valued. One of her most beloved traditions was calling family and friends on their birthdays to sing her signature rendition of “Happy Birthday." Those heartfelt calls became a cherished expression of her love and thoughtfulness, creating lasting memories that will continue to bring smiles to those fortunate enough to have received them.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, John “Marshall" Easley and Addie Lee Easley; and her brothers, John Curtis Easley Sr. and Raymond Eugene Easley, and sister, Cassandra Rasheen Easley.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted daughter, Tiffany Easley of Dallas, Texas; two loving brothers, Dennis Easley and Cecil Easley, a loving and devoted sister-in love, Gladys Easley, all of Lexington, Tennessee; along with a nieces, a host of nephews, extended family members, treasured friends, and all whose lives were enriched by her kindness, compassion, and enduring legacy of love and service. Though Virginia's earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
