Virginia Jimmerson
April 8, 1940 ~ December 17, 2024
84 Years Old
Virginia Jimmerson was born April 2, 1940 to the late Eugene Ellison, Sr. and Ethel Mae Ellison.
Her funeral service was held on Sunday December 22, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Clover Chapel MB Church with Pastor George Beauregard in charge. Burial was in the Jimmerson Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.
\Virgina attended Hardeman county Schools. She was employed at Toone Elementary School for thirty years. She also was employed at Lucerne and Kilgore.
Virginia accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Clover Chapel Baptist Church. She later became the cafeteria manager and she was on the Mother Board Ministry until her health declined. She was a very loyal, loving, and nurturing mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Virginia was united in Holy Matrimony to Clovis Jimmerson, Sr. in 1958.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Ellison, Sr. and Ethel Mae Ellison; her husband, Clovis Jimmerson, Sr.; one son, Leon Jimmerson; two daughters, Gloria Mayer and Sharon Jimmerson; one grandson, Cortez Jimmerson; and one brother, David Ellison.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Daphne (Michael) Gibbs; one son, Clovis (Ginger) Jimmerson, Jr.; eleven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; four of her siblings, Eugene (Lorean) Ellison, Jr., Helen Pirtle, Osevelt Ellison, and Carolyn Tomlin and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
