W T Ivory

April 10, 1946 ~ July 20, 2022 (age 76)

Mr. W. T. Ivory, the second child of eight children, born April 10, 1946 to the late Mr. Elmo and Mrs. Maybelle Willis Ivory in a rural community between Bolivar and Middleton,Tennessee.

His funeral service was on Wednesday July 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at Jerome Boyd Chapel @ Dixie FH with Pastor Bernett Messenger in charge.  Burial was in the Mt. Olive MB Church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

His basic education was obtained in the public schools of Hardeman County, Tennessee.

Wednesday morning, July 20, 2022, God dispatched an angel to Jackson Madison County General Hospital to separate the soul of Mr. W. T. Ivory from an ailing body, carrying it to a place of rest to await the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Four siblings: Emma Jean Ivory, Maxine Ivory-Perry, Luther Ivory, and Charles D. Ivory preceded him in death.

WT was a diligent worker, and an entrepreneur in his own right. No job was too meager and he took pride in doing each job to the best of his ability. He loved people, was always willing to lend a helping hand, a kindhearted man who loved music, all types.

W. T. departed leaving fond memories to be cherished by his three sisters: Ms. Chestine Pope of South Bend, Indiana, Mrs. Betty Sue (Curtis) Walker, and Miss Debra Ivory all of Bolivar, TN; a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends who will also reminisce of fond times spent with W. T. Ivory.
