Watis Leon Mason was born to the late Doris Mason Gordon and Robert White in Benton County, MS.

His funeral service was held on September 14, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Bethel MB Church with Minister Charles Tate in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

He confessed a hope in Christ and joined Pleasant Grove Saulsbury, TN.

He was a mechanic for many years. Watis was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Artis (Lotis) Mason & Annie Jean Gordon.

Watis leaves to cherish his memories: his long time companion, Carol Talley; six children, Michael (Crystal) Mason of Savannah, TN, Corey Mason and Lorice (Rodney) Smith both of Saulsbury, TN, Cubby (Tiffany) Mason of Whiteville, TN, Watis Mason, Jr. and Porsha Mason both of Grand Junction, TN; five sisters, Arleen (Jessie ) Parks, Vlandy (Walter) Hardaway, Margaret Allen, Thelma Glass, and Carla (Phillip) Brown; six brothers, Arlee Gordon, Calvin Gordon, Willie J. (Carolyn) Gordon, James Watkins, Leroy (Cassandra) Mason and Sanford White and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
