Brother Wilbur Montgomery was born August 1, 1950, in Whiteville, TN to the late Roosevelt and Dorothy Montgomery. He was the fourth of six children.
His graveside service was held on Saturday June 6, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Union Springs MB Church Cemetery with Pastor Robert Williams in charge. Burial was in the Church Cemetery-Whiteville and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.
Wilbur attended school at Bethlehem School and Allen White High School in Whiteville, TN.
Wilbur accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Bethlehem Church in Bolivar, TN. Later, he joined Union Springs MB Church in Whiteville, TN. Wilbur served on the Deacon and Choir ministry until his health failed.
Wilbur was employed for the state of TN for thirteen years. He was also employed at Standard Construction where he was run over and couldn’t no longer continue his job.
Wilbur was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Priscilla Price on February 2, 1992. To this union, two daughters and three sons were born. He raised and trained them by example to be strong, respectful, young women and men. He also taught them to love God and the church.
Wilbur will fondly remembered by his loving, dedicated wife, Priscilla who honored the marital vow for better or worse; in sickness and in health: his daughters, Michelle Price of Nashville, TN, Tiffany Greer and Krishunta Allen of Bolivar, TN: his sons; Chris (Schwanda) Montgomery of Jackson, TN, Marvin Montgomery of Bolivar, TN, and Carl (Janet) Montgomery of Nashville, TN and twenty three grandchildren. Wilbur leaves one brother and four sisters with two sisters in Heaven waiting for his entrance and a host of family and friends.
