Will T Poplar, Jr.
March 31, 1959 ~ December 4, 2025 (age 66)
Will T. Poplar, Jr., age 66, was born to the late Will T., Sr. and Florine Poplar. Will T. attended school in Ashland, MS.
He accepted Christ and joined Mt. Bethel MB Church .
As a young man, he enjoyed basketball. Later in life, he took an interest in softball and joined the Stompers baseball team.
He also enjoyed fishing. He is known for his kindness, humility, and quiet strength. Along with his parents, Will T. was preceded in death by his brother, Fletcher Gilliam.
Will T. is survived by: two daughters, Lacresha Poplar of Nashville, TN and Wilandria Poplar of Grand Junction, TN; one step daughter, Jemesia Cox of Bolivar, TN; six grandchildren, JaQuavious, Jaceon, Ah’Mari, Marcquis, Royah, and Breden; four brothers, William “PeeWee” Dorothy) Poplar of Jackson, TN, Early Hugh (Alma) Poplar and Thomas “Ray” (Lillie) Poplar both of Michigan City, MS, and Jasper Gilliam of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Louise (Bill) rivers of Michigan City, MS and Willie V. (William) Crum of Tiplersville, MS; one sister-in-law, Estelle Gilliam of Memphis, TN; one aunt, Victoria (Rayford) Crum of Michigan City, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends
