Woodrow Whitehorn

Woodrow Whitehorn was born to Jessie Whitehorn and Luella McKinnie Whitehorn on December 30, 1927. He departed this life on July 10, 2021 in his home. 

His funeral service was held on Saturday July 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Simon Chapel MB Church-Whiteville with Reverend Jerry Crisp in charge. Burial was in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

He was raised by his father and stepmother, Endie Dotson Whitehorn in Vildo, Tennessee. 

He served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. Upon returning home he married Earline Dotson and moved to St. Louis, Missouri. Their marriage lasted until her death. After her death, he relocated home to WHiteville to care for his sister, Bessie Miller. 

Left to cherish his memory are two sisters: Mrs. Rosie Lee Allen of Whteville, Tennessee and Katie Sutton of Indianapolis, Indiana, a nephew that he took as his son, Mr. Thomas Whitehorn (Sonny) of St. Louis, Missiouri and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and friends.
