Yolanda Ann Kemp

Ms. Yolanda Ann Kemp was born on September 14, 1960 to the late Willie and Kitty Kemp. Yolanda was one of eleven children. Yolanda was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Maywood, IL where she attended school.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday August 24, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Greater Springfield MB Church with Pastor Jermaine Shaw in charge.  Burial was in the New Bethel cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service

Yolanda accepted Christ at an early age.

Yolanda later moved to Bolivar, TN where she joined St. Paul CME.

Yolanda was an Environmental Worker. Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings Quantella, Maxine and Willie “Main” Kemp.

Yolanda departed this life on August 14, 2024.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Chernenko “Boo” Kemp; daughter in law, Angela; her significant other, Tony Scates; seven grandchildren, A’milya and Aaliyah Kemp, Tajania, Shanya, Ciara, Keaston, and Michael Taylor; six sisters, Christine Kemp of Indianapolis, IN, Minnie (Dwight) Steward, Annette Kemp, Laverne Kemp, Tracy (Von) Moss, Regina Kemp all of Bolivar, TN; one brother, Demeco Kemp of Bolivar, TN; one special friend, Betty Scates along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
