CHARLES M PIRTLE

January 12, 1941 ~ September 13, 2017 (age 76)

Charles M. Pirtle was born on January 12, 1941 to the late Kaylee Pirtle and the late Fred Taylor in Hardeman County, Tennessee.

His grave side service was held on Saturday September 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Bolivar Community Cemetery with Pastor Robert Parham in charge.  Burial was in Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

He attended school in Hardeman County and later joined the United States Army. Charles traveled to many places and made friends where ever he went.

Charles accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined with Greater Springfield Baptist Church.

He departed this life on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Jackson – Madison County Hospital.

Several family members preceded him in death: his grand parents, brothers: Jimmy Miller, Henry Miller, Ricky Miller, and Jerry Taylor; sisters: Alice Odoms, Doris Miller and Joyce Jones.

Charles leaves to cherish him memory son: Chris Pirtle of Nashville, daughter: Gwen Pirtle of Memphis,TN; sisters: Evora Miller and Annie (MacArthur) Vasser of St. Louis, MO, Blanchie Taylor of Bolivar, TN, Pauline Harden of Cincinnati, OH; brothers: Larry Miller and John Wayne Miller of St. Louis, MO; aunts: Ada Moore and Josephine Clark of Bolivar, TN, Dewey Johnson of Charlotte, NC and Marth Pirtle of Chicago, IL; uncle: Charles Sanders of Milwaukee, WI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He also leaves to cherish his memory longtime friend/family, Dorothy Rivers, WIllie Dickerson, Jr., and Jessica Bryant who were his support team.
